Elderly Woman Hit by SUV in Winnetka
The 77-year-old was severely injured after being struck while walking in one of the village's shopping districts.
WINNETKA, IL - A 77-year-old woman walking in the East Elm Street shopping district last week was severely injured after she was hit by an SUV.
The woman was taken to a local hospital on Monday, Dec. 5 after the crash, according to a Daily North Shore report.
Police have said a 75-year-old woman from Northbrook was driving a small SUV when it crashed into the victim in the 800 block of Oak Street around 5:30 p.m.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Winnetka Police Department and the Major Crash Assistance Team.
