Former Bears Super Bowl MVP Richard Dent Was Driving 107 MPH on Edens Expressway: Police
Former Chicago Bears defensive end arrested for excessive speeding in Northfield early Tuesday.

The Most Valuable Player of the only Chicago Bears Super Bowl victory was arrested early Tuesday morning in suburban Northfield for excessive speeding.
Reports indicate Richard Dent, the former Bears defensive end who played for the team from 1983-1993 and during the 1995 season, was driving 107 miles per hour in a 55 mile per hour zone on the Edens Expressway, the Winnetka Talk reported.
Dent, 54, a resident of Long Grove, was driving a 2010 Range Rover when he was observed speeding on northbound Interstate 94 at 1:55 a.m. when he was stopped on Interstate 94 near Willow Road - according to Northfield Police.

He was arrested at 2:13 a.m. and taken to the Northfield Police Department, where he posted a signature bond and was released shortly after.
The report said Dent was “very cooperative” with police during the arrest.

Dent is best known for winning the MVP award following Super Bowl XX - the lone Bears championship in the Super Bowl era - when the Bears defeated the New England Patriots, 46-10 on January 26, 1986 in New Orleans.
