Four Thefts, DUI and House Burglary: Winnetka Police Blotter

Residential Burglary: A resident in the 1300 block of Sunview Lane reported at 8:45 a.m. to that someone tried to enter the house through a second-floor window about midnight on May 6. Beyond a damaged window, it did not appear that entry was made. The repair cost is $250.

DUI: A 41-year-old male from Chicago was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol at the corner of Forestway Drive and Willow Road at 1:39 a.m., according to police. His court date is May 25.

Theft: According to police, a male reported that someone took $180 worth of goods from his unlocked gym locker between 10:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. on May 8 at New Trier High School, 385 Winnetka Ave. The items include a black Apple 2G iPhone, a black leather wallet with cash, IDs and a debit card inside, a pair of REI brown shorts and a combination lock.

Theft: According to police, a male reported that someone took an item from his unlocked locker in the boy's locker room at New Trier High School, 385 Winnetka Ave., between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. on May 7. The item includes a black Apple 4G iPhone with a cracked screen. The estimated loss is $500.

May 10

Theft: A person reported to police at 1:56 p.m. that within the 800 block of Pine Street someone took her wallet from her unattended purse, which included cash, two debit cards and multiple IDs. The estimated loss is $130.

Theft: A person reported to police that someone took his locked bicycle and steel cable look from the bike rack at New Trier High School, 385 Winnetka Ave. between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. The bike is a men's brown Fuji Sunfire 3, with a silver bottleholder and a chrome kickstand. The estimated loss is $670.
