Gurnee Mills Hosts Month Long Initiative for Month of the Military Child

In-store deals and giveaways await all military families at Gurnee Mills during the month of April.

April marks the Month of the Military Child, and to recognize the important role children play in the Armed Forces community, Gurnee Mills will host a month-long initiative to celebrate military children. Starting Friday, April 1, and running through Saturday, April 30, participating retailers will have a decal in their store window that signals special military discounts on purchases.

Shoppers, with ties to the military, are encouraged to stop by guest services for a complete list of participating retailers, such as Aeropostale, Build-A-Bear Workshop, The Children’s Place, Claire’s, Gap Outlet, Puma, and many more. Additionally, parents who show their military ID at guest services will receive a goodie bag of patriotic items for their children.

Gurnee Mills is located at the intersection of Interstate 94 and Grand Avenue (IL 132) in Gurnee, Ill., approximately 40 minutes from Chicago and Milwaukee. Gurnee Mills is open regularly 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday.
