Man Charged With Forgery Over Prescription Form: Police Blotters

Someone stole a wallet in the 600 block of Vernon Avenue, police were told around 1:24 p.m. on Jan. 29. The victim canceled the credit cards that had been taken and a single attempt to use the card was reported.

A 55-year-old Chicago woman was ticketed for improper lane usage, use of medical cannabis by a driver and possession of medical cannabis in a motor vehicle around 11:15 p.m. on Jan. 24 following a traffic stop in the area of Hohlfelder and Westley roads.

A 31-year-old Chicago woman was arrested at 2:40 p.m. on Jan. 25 in the 300 block of Park Avenue and charged with retail theft of less than $500.

A 32-year-old Northbrook man was arrested at 6:35 p.m. on Jan. 29 near the intersection of Dundee and Bluff roads and charged with driving on a suspended license and speding.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE

Someone used an unknown object to damage a driver's side mirror of a vehicle parked in the 500 block of Winnetka Avenue between 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 26 and 7:30 a.m. on Jan. 27.

ARRESTS

A 20-year-old Evanston man was arrested shortly before 7 p.m. on Jan. 24 in the 400 block of Green Bay Road following a traffic stop and charged with driving on a suspended license. He was also cited for not having a rear registration light.

CAR BURGLARY

Police were told someone entered a 2013 BMW parked in the 100 block of West Frontage Road and stole documents from inside between Jan. 11 and Jan. 16.

DECEPTIVE PRACTICE

Shortly after 5 p.m. on Jan. 26, a Northfield resident reported purchasing various gift cards earlier that day from a store in the 1800 block of Willow Road, which he used to pay for iPhone upgrades related to complaints about a slow battery. The resident later realized that he probably had been victim of a scam and reported the incident to the police.

ARRESTS/CITATIONS

A 51-year-old Chicago man was arrested at 5:04 p.m. on Jan. 22 and charged with driving with a suspended driver’s license and expired registration in the area of Bristol Road and Willow Road in Northfield.

David W. Fulson, 58, of the 7600 block of South Exchange Avenue, Chicago, was arrested at 10:20 a.m. on Jan. 26 at his residence and charged with forgery, a felony. The accusation is connected to a forged prescription passed to a pharmacy in the area of the 1800 block of Willow Road in Northfield on Oct. 2, 2017. Chicago police assisted in the investigation and arrest.

A 50-year-old Chicago man was banned from a grocery store but allowed to pay for his items after police got a report of a retail theft in progress from a loss prevention agent at the 1822 Willow Rd. Mariano's location shortly after 5 p.m. on Jan. 26.
