Men's Room on Elm Street Defaced: Cops
A resident of a home on Oak Street told police someone tried to enter his home over the weekend.

The following information is from the Winnetka Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT
Someone discovered between 09:30 a.m. on Jan. 29 and 8:30 a.m. on Feb. 1, unknown offender(s) defaced the men’s bathroom in the 700 block of Elm St.

IDENTITY THEFT
Pauline E. Carswell, 46, Maywood was arrested at 11 a.m. on Feb. 5 for identity theft. This arrest was made subsequent to an investigation of a previous incident that occurred in November 2015.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY
A victim in the 400 block of Oak St. discovered between 9:35 a.m. and 9:42 a.m. on Feb. 5, unknown offender(s) attempted to enter the residence.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
A victim in the 300 block of Sunset Road discovered between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Feb. 5, unknown offender(s) pulled an outdoor light post from the ground and damaged a glass light fixture. Repair costs $200.
IDENTITY THEFT
A victim discovered between noon on Feb. 4 and 5 p.m. on Feb. 5, unknown offender(s) used the victim’s personal identifiers to file a federal income tax return. No reported loss at this time.
