Metra Station Renovation Complete
Improvements on the exterior of the building in Glencoe are done.

The improvement to the exterior brick and stone walls at the Metra train station in Glencoe is complete.
The work was finished in late November, just four months after it began in July, according to a village of Glencoe news release.

Metra paid for the project through a $215,000 investment from its capital program. The scope of the work included extensive restoration of the stone base and tuckpointing of the upper wall and chimney.
The station restoration is the first one in Glencoe since 1988.
