North Shore Congregation Israel Holding 2nd Winter Farmers Market

Faith in Plance and the local synagogue are partnering to expand the market for local small farmers.

GLENCOE, IL — North Shore Congregation Israel is gearing up for its second annual Winter Farmers Market, which will be held from 9 a.m. to noon on Sunday, Jan. 28.

North Shore Congregation Israel will partner with Faith in Place to host a one-time indoor Winter Farmers Market. This market will provide small, local farm producers with an opportunity to extend their income beyond the growing season.

All are invited to come enjoy a wide range of seasonal, sustainably-produced goods, including winter produce, honey, meat, eggs, baked goods, tea, salsas, sauces, spreads, preserves, yarns, & beauty products.

Through these markets, consumers may purchase farm-fresh items and cultivate relationships with local farmers beyond the summer farmers market season.

“We’re grateful for the opportunity again to partner with Faith In Place to host another Winter Farmers Market,” said Ryan Daniels, Rabbi of North Shore Congregation Israel.

Faith in Place empowers Illinois residents to care for the environment and provide resources to promote healthier communities. This includes helping the local community by encouraging wholesome eating and supporting the build of relationships between producers and consumers.
