Pantless Man On Bike Trai: Glencoe Crime Reports

GLENCOE, IL — The following information comes from official police reports of the Glencoe Department of Safety. All incidents are as reported to police and any persons named are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.

INCIDENTS

On Sept. 6 at 9:41 a.m., an unidentified driver of a semi-truck with a flatbed trailer struck a street sign at the intersection of Old Green Bay Road and Lapier Street, causing more than $500 in damage without stopping to report it.

On Sept. 7 at 11:26 a.m., an unidentified man was seen with no pants on, standing along the Green Bay Road bicycle trail at Woodlawn Avenue. He fled the area and was not located by responding officers.

THEFT

On Sept. 7 at an unknown time, someone stole a Playstation controller from a home in the 800 block of Greenwood Avenue.

STOLEN CARS

On Sept. 9 at 3:08 a.m., a resident of the 500 block of Woodlawn Avenue reported someone entered a garage and stole an Audi and a Lexus that had their keys left inside.

THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE PARTS

On Sept. 9 a resident of the 900 block of Vernon Avenue reported someone stole a front license plate from a car but was unsure when or where it may have been stolen.

THEFT OF MISLAID PROPERTY

On Sept. 10 at 9:15 a.m., a patron at a bank in the 300 block of Park Avenue reported making a cash withdrawal (Police did not say how much, other than to note it was less than $500) from the ATM and left the scene without taking it. Someone else found the money and took it.

CAR BURGLARY

On Sept. 10 at 5:02 p.m., a resident of the 500 block of Longwood Avenue reported that someone took the car keys out of the unlocked Honda sitting in the driveway.

THEFT

On Sept. 11 at 4:34 p.m., a resident of the 300 block of Adams Avenue reported that someone stole an iPhone.

ARREST(S)

A 39-year-old Chicago man was arrested on Sept. 9 at 11:26 p.m. and driving without a driver's license near the intersection of Green Bay Road and Jefferson Avenue. He was also issued a ticket for improper lane usage.
