PAWS' North Shore Adoption Center Named After Glencoe Man Who Donated $1 Million

Satellite adoption center at Highland Park PETCO has been renamed the "PAWS Chicago Glenn L. Felner North Shore Adoption Center."

A Glencoe man has pledged $1 million to the new PAWS Chicago satellite adoption center in Highland Park, which will be named after him.

Glenn Felner, a veteran of World War II who earned a Bronze Star Medal for capturing 32 Germans and served in the Battle of the Bulge, committed to the naming level gift earlier this summer by pledging the funds to save the lives of homeless pets at the adoption center located inside the Highland Park PETCO.

Felner’s gift will be received by the shelter - now named the “PAWS Chicago Glenn L. Felner North Shore Adoption Center” - over a ten year period.
