Phone Stolen From Gym Locker at New Trier Used to Make Uber Purchases Worth Hundreds
Police say the iPhone 6 was taken from an unlocked locker on Nov. 1.
WINNETKA, IL - Police in Winnetka say an iPhone 6 was taken from an unlocked gym locker at New Trier High School, and whoever stole it used it to makes unauthorized Uber purchases.
The phone was stolen on Nov. 1, according to a Chicago Tribune report. The student reported a total of $855.41 spent on the Uber app after the phone was stolen.
