GLENCOE
INCIDENTS
THEFT
Someone stole two binders from the True Juice shop at 660 Vernon Ave. prior to 1:15 p.m. on April 8.
IDENTITY THEFT
A Lake Avenue resident reported around 12:15 p.m. on April 12 that someone had used their identity to open a credit card.

SHOPLIFTING
- Someone stole food items of unknown value from the Grand Foods, 351 Hazel Ave., prior to 3:30 p.m. on April 8.
- A theft of an unknown amount of food from the Grand Foods was also reported around 7:15 p.m. on April 10
ARRESTS
A 46-year-old Franklin Park man was pulled over around 3:15 p.m. April 7 near the intersection of South and Vernon avenues and charged with driving with a suspended license and issued a citation for operating a vehicle with expired registration.

INCIDENTS
CAR BURGLARY
Someone stole a tool worth about $12,000 from a work truck parked in the 300 block of Lagoon Drive between about 1 and 2 p.m. on April 4.
IDENTITY THEFT
A Latrobe Avenue resident reported on April 8 that someone had used their identity to buy about $2,780 worth of electronics on Feb. 28.
JOGGER THUMPED
Shortly before 6:30 a.m. on April 10, officers were dispatched to the area of Winnetka and Hibbard roads by a call from a jogger who reported feeling a few thumps against his arm. The jogger told officers an occupant of a passing vehicle may have shot him with a pellet or paintball gun. Officers checked the jogger and the area, but did not see any markings or evidence of paintballs, pellets or possible shooters.
ARRESTS
Adam Villalobos-Carillo, 20, of the 1000 block of 10th Street, Northfield, around 2 a.m. on April 7 on an arrest warrant issued after he failed to appear in court in connection with a charge of leaving the scene of an accident. The allegation stems from an investigation of a Dec. 22, 2019, crash in the 2200 block of Waukegan Road.
A 22-year-old Wheeling man was ticketed for speeding and arrest for driving without a valid license following a traffic stop around 6:45 a.m. on April 8 near the intersection of Willow and Sunset Ridge roads.
A 22-year-old Niles man was arrested around 7:30 p.m. on April 10 and charged with driving without a valid license following a traffic stop near the intersection of Willow Road and Whittier Lane.

WINNETKA
INCIDENTS
SHOPLIFTING
Staff at the Walgreens, 925 Green Bay Road, reported that someone stole nearly $300 worth of merchandise between 8:52 and 9:03 p.m. on April 6.
VANDALISM
Someone spray painted a concrete wall near the intersection of Tower and Old Green Bay road around 4 p.m. on April 7 for a loss of about $375.
IDENTITY THEFTS
- A Ridge Avenue resident reported around 6 p.m. on April 7 that someone had used their identity to make nearly $4,000 in unauthorized transactions using their Chase Bank account.
- An Asbury Avenue resident reported around 4:15 p.m. on April 9 that someone had used their credit card to make more than $5,000 in unauthorized purchases.
ARRESTS
A 28-year-old Waukegan man was arrested around 8 p.m. on April 4 and charged with driving with a suspended license following a traffic stop in the 500 block of Sheridan Road. He was also ticketed for speeding.
A 21-year-old Evanston man was arrested around 1 p.m. on April 6 and charged with driving without a valid license and issued a citation for disobeying a stop sign following a traffic stop in the 700 block of Elm Street.
A 25-year-old Chicago man was arrested around 3:15 a.m. on April 8 and charged with driving without a valid license following a traffic stop in the 300 block of Green Bay Road. He was also ticketed for improper lane usage.
KENILWORTH
INCIDENTS
IDENTITY THEFT
A Cumberland Avenue resident reported on April 4 that someone had fraudulently opened a T-Mobil account using their identity.
BIKE THEFT
Someone stole an unlocked bike that had been left at the rack at Sears School, 542 Abbotsford Road, between March 25 and April 5 for a $300 loss.
WILMETTE
INCIDENTS
SHOPLIFTING
Someone stole unspecified items from the Walgreens, 3232 Lake Ave., on or before April 3. The shoplifter was described as a man in his early 30s wearing a blue knit hat, surgical mask, dark jacket, white pants and black gym shoes.
VANDALISM
On April 5, an officer noticed that someone had drawn a five-pointed star and written the letters C,E,O,S,I and S on the back of the former Imperial Motors building in the 700 block of Green Bay Road.
PACKAGE THEFT
A resident in the 2100 block of Greenwood Avenue reported on April 5 that someone had stolen a recently delivered package from their front porch.
CAR BURGLARY
Someone stole landscaping equipment from a construction trailer parked in the first block of Linden Avenue on or before April 7.
THEFT FROM VEHICLES
- Someone stole a catalytic converter from a Ford truck parked in the 3600 block of Lake Avenue on or before March 28.
- Someone stole a catalytic converter from a Cadillac parked in the 3200 block of Old Glenview Road on or before April 3.
ARRESTS/CITATIONS
Black Lewis, 27, of the 10900 block of Kilpatrick Avenue, Oak Lawn, was arrested on April 1 after an encounter with a Wilmette officer at Edens Plaza. The officer reported finding him covered in a hospital blanket and spoke to him to offer him food and coffee. After checking his name for active warrants, the officer learned Lewis had an active arrest warrant for failure to appear in an unspecified court on an unspecified charge and took him into custody.
