Winnetka Community House Celebrates 100 Years

The (WCH) had plenty of candles to blow out this past weekend, as organizers and community members kicked off its centennial year on Saturday with a birthday party.

By the WCH's permission, Winnetka Patch tests out a new feature for you to browse photos from the organization's Flickr photostream. The event included pony rides, magic tricks and photo opps with the Chicago Wolves mascot, Skates.

The community house, which recently hosted a haunted house and an antiques show, is home to a community fitness center, Children’s Theatre of Winnetka, and non-profits such as the Winnetka Youth Organization.

According to its website, the organizations's mission is to "to enrich the lives of North Shore residents, their families and friends by providing educational, cultural, social and recreational opportunities for people of all ages."
