Winnetka Crime: Over $10K In Clothing, Jewelry Reported Stolen

WINNETKA, IL — The following information comes from the Winnetka Police Department as a record of police activity. Criminal charges represent merely accusations by the state, all incidents are indicated as reported to the police and everyone arrested is presumed innocent unless they are proven guilty in court.
RETAIL THEFT
Sometime between Feb. 1 and March 10, someone reportedly stole more than $10,000 worth of merchandise in the form of clothing and jewelry from Le Chic Boutique on the 900 block of Green Bay Road, police were informed April 11.

POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE
Chloe Rotschild Fosse, 18, of the 1100 block of Skokie Ridge Drive in Glencoe, was arrested at 8:41 a.m. at New Trier High School on April 10.

She was charged with possession of less than 15 grams of a substance containing amphetamine and dextroamphetamine, a felony, according to a criminal complaint.
IDENTITY THEFTS
On April 14, a victim on the 100 block of Bertling Lane discovered that someone had used their personal identifiers to open up a Best Buy account and had attempted to open up a Target credit card, although there was no reported loss.
Nearly $4,300 was reported in fraudulent billing to an AT&T account opened using the personal identifiers of a victim on the 200 block of Linden Street sometime between April 2 and April 11.
TRAFFIC ARREST
Elizabeth Roman Diaz, 24, of the 300 block of Prairie Avenue in Highwood, was arrested for driving with a suspended license and cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident following an investigation into a traffic crash at the intersection of Green Bay Road and Scott Avenue on April 10 at 2:50 p.m.
