Winnetka Crime: Intoxicated Senior Drivers Arrested
Winnetka Police Blotter: April 18 - April 24

WINNETKA, IL — The following information comes from the Winnetka Police Department as a record of police activity. Criminal charges represent merely accusations, all incidents are described as reported to the police and everyone arrested is presumed innocent unless they are proven guilty in court.
DUIS
Ricky Rivers, 60, of the 12300 block of Loomis in Calumet Park, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol on the 1100 block of Sheridan Road shortly after 1 a.m. on April 19. Police said he was also cited for improper lane usage,driving in the wrong lane and transportation or possession of alcoholic liquor in a motor vehicle.

Dean. H. Goosen, 70, of the 700 block of Humboldt Avenue, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol shortly after 4 p.m. on April 21. Goosens was arrested following an investigation into a traffic crash at Green Bay and Tower roads in which he was found one of the drivers involved. He was also cited for improper lane usage.
FAILURE TO GIVE INFORMATION

After an investigation into an April 7 traffic crash, police arrested a 30-year-old man, of the 2800 block of North Laramie Avenue in Chicago, for failure to give information after striking an unattended vehicle.
NO LICENSE
A 19-year-old man, of the 800 block of 8th Street in Northfield, was arrested for driving without a valid license. He was also cited for speeding and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
CRIMINAL DEFACEMENT
Someone used colored markers to deface several areas on the east and west platforms of 1065 Gage St. at some point between Feb. 21 and April 21. The public works department was notified to remove the defacement. The repair costs were not immediately known.
