First up, the annual Winnetka Holiday Tree Lighting will take place on Friday at 5:30 p.m. in Station Park, across the street from Winnetka Village Hall.
Santa will be on hand for the festivities, along with holiday carolers decked in Victorian attire to lead the singing for the lighting ceremony. After the ceremony, stop by at Little Ricky's Rib Joint, 540 Lincoln Ave., for some time with Santa.
Then, the 38th annual “Red Invitation” Holiday Sunday Sale gets underway Dec. 3. Local merchants have discounts, specials, refreshment and special personalized services planned throughout the day.
