$1-$5 Store Coming Aug. 19

A store that offers a wide variety of merchandise for pre-teens and teens, all for $1 to $5, is coming to Woodridge Aug. 19. 

Five Below will be located in the Woodgrove Festival Shopping Center, 1001 75th St., in part of the space that formerly housed . The Woodgrove Festival Shopping Center also includes , and . 

The village board approved changes being made to the building prior to Five Below's Aug. 19 opening at its bi-monthly board meeting last Thursday. 

These changes include extending the front facade of the building, adding a canopy and new signage, according to the village ordinance. 

According to Five Below's website, the chain "is the leading retailer of trend-right, extreme-value merchandise to the teen and pre-teen market - all for $1.00 to $5.00."

That merchandise includes sporting goods, games, fashion accessories and jewelry, hobbies and collectibles, bath and body, candy and snacks, room décor and storage, stationery and school supplies, video game accessories, books, DVDs, iPhone accessories, novelty and “gag” items and seasonal items. 

Other Illinois Five Below locations include Joliet, Schaumburg, Geneva, Orland Hills and Tinley Park.
