Woodridge Police Department to Participate in “Cop on Top” Fundraiser to Benefit Special Olympics of Illinois

On Friday, May 20th, from 5:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. the Woodridge Police Department along with many departments throughout Illinois will participate in the Cop on Top” fundraiser to benefit Special Olympics of Illinois.

Representatives from the department will volunteer their time at both Dunkin’ Donuts locations (2401 75th Street and 1920 87th Street) in Woodridge and ask patrons to donate. Last year the department raised $3,100 and we’re hoping to surpass that number this year!

Everyone who makes a donation will receive a coupon for a free donut. People who donate $10.00 or more will receive a Law Enforcement Torch Run travel mug while supplies last. The mug can be filled at participating Dunkin’ Donuts stores, free of charge throughout the day of the event.

All funds raised will be used to sponsor Illinois athletes participating in Special Olympics events. The concept of the fundraiser is that a Police Officer will be on the roof of the Dunkin’ Donuts and only your donations can get them down. We greatly appreciate your support!
