Business Spotlight: Cabana Charley's

With a menu that combines familiar favorites with an island twist, is a favorite among diners in Woodridge. With live music, an extensive drink menu and the colorful, tropical atmosphere, we had to grab owner Diann Denault to get her take on the popularity. 

Patch: How do you select the music acts that play on the weekends?

Denault: We try to have a variety of music from Buffet cover bands, steel drums, 70's and 80's covers, dueling pianos and more. We also have had acts heard on Radio Margaritaville, as well.
 
Patch: There always seems to be a wide variety of people having fun at Cabana's - different ages, various groups - how would you describe that party atmosphere?

Denault: Our goal was to create a place that made you feel like you are on vacation in a tropical, warm place. I think that appeals to everyone, which gives us that wide variety of guests.

Patch: How do you try to achieve the vacation atmosphere? 

Denault: First we think we have created a decor and hopefully a vacation vibe. Everywhere you look around it says, "Relax." We try to have Radio Margaritaville or Jamaican Music playing. And lastly, we hope that our bartenders and servers cater to you as if you were on vacation!
 
Patch: If someone was trying Cabana Charley's for the first time, what menu item would you recommend?

Denault: Boy, that is hard because we really do have several outstanding items. A couple suggestions would be the Grouper (fried or grilled) because you can't get that everywhere. Our burgers are outstanding, as well. We have many varieties including a homemade turkey burger, chicken burger, veggie burger, and they are half-priced on Mondays!
 
Patch: What is the most popular specialty drink? 

Denault: I would have to say our Margarita, which features Sauza Tequila as well as our famous "Rum Buckets." There are four varieties of buckets of fun!
