Patch: What sets apart from other golf courses?

Evans: We have hundreds of people who play at least once a week during the season, whether in a league, permanent tee time or simply with a gathering of friends. Nobody ever gets bored with the course.
We don’t promote ourselves as a ‘championship’ golf course, and we’ll never host a PGA Tour event. But it’s a fun course to play, and people enjoy their time here. We think golf should be fun, fair and affordable, and we’re well received by golfers who believe the same.

Patch: What types of leagues do you have and how can someone sign up?
Evans: We host 22 weekly leagues, including 12 women's leagues, most of which are open to the public. Each of the leagues is independently operated, but a description of each league and all of the contact information can be found on our website or by calling the golf shop.
Patch: With the "Get Golf Ready in 5 Days" program, affordable lessons and great deals at the driving range, it seems like you really want to promote golf education. Why is that?
Evans: Golf is obviously more fun when you play better, and we’re all about having fun. Our main motivation in offering these ‘deals’ is to give golfers an affordable solution to learning and practicing the game so they can improve and feel more confident.
Patch: Can you share a little about the 1,000 First Swings program and why it's important to get children involved in golf?
Evans: The "1,000 First Swings" is the goal to introduce as many kids to the game of golf as possible at no cost to the participants. We introduced 1,100 kids to golf last year because we realize the importance of getting kids involved in fun, safe and healthy activities.
Golf is a game that the entire family can enjoy together, and this program removes every barrier imaginable to give kids an introduction to the game. Once they’re introduced, they can progress to more formal instruction. Later this year, we’ll be introducing Family Fun Nights where kids will be able to play the course at little or no cost with a playing adult.
Patch: Do you do anything special for social group outings, corporate events or charity events?
Evans: We understand what motivates the people who run these events. Charity events obviously want to raise as much money as possible for a cause they truly believe in, and we have a set of solutions to help them.
Social and corporate outings want to have fun, entertain and leave a positive impression for the group.
Patch: What preparation is involved in planning a shower or other banquet at the facility?
Evans: We host a lot of showers and banquets because we understand the importance of making life as easy as possible for the party coordinator. Everyone has a vision of what they want their event to be, and we have the expertise and the facility to bring that vision to reality.
At the same time, we don’t want the coordinator so bogged down worrying about details that they can’t enjoy one of their life’s most important events, so we make sure everything is planned and executed with perfection. If someone is interested in a smaller, more intimate room with a great view in a prime location at affordable prices, all they need to do is call Marcia or leave an inquiry through our website.
