Glimmer of Hope Fundraiser Friday
Glimmer Salon in Seven Bridges will hold its second "Glimmer of Hope" fundraiser Friday.

will host its second annual "Glimmer of Hope" fundraiser Friday.
All proceeds will benefit Derrick Wanderer, a 15-year-old who suffered major brain injuries after a car accident on June 13, 2011. Wanderer is the nephew of Glimmer Co-Owner Sandy Robertson.
After being thrown from a car and hitting a tree, Wanderer was hospitalized with several broken bones and completed rehab at Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago. He returned home De. 27 but is confined to a wheelchair and will require daily therapy and round-the-clock care. He cannot speak or eat solid foods. Recently, he has been able to wave "hello," blink for "yes" and "no" and give a thumbs up or thumbs down.

"We are hoping to raise enough money so that once home we can provide something that he will need," Robertson said in an e-mail.
The event will take place from 5 to 10 p.m. at Glimmer Salon, located at 3520 Seven Bridges Drive in Suite 235.

The "Glimmer of Hope" fundraiser began last year and will continue each year, benefitting different causes each year.
The event will include:
- Food
- Drink
- Raffles
- $10 eyebrow waxing
- $15 feather extensions
- $10 chair massages
- $5 hand massages
