I-55 Lanes Could Be Closed Saturday for Pulaski Bridge Inspection: IDOT

A bridge inspection of Pulaski Road over northbound and southbound Interstate 55 (Stevenson Expressway), one mile east of Cicero Avenue, will required lanes to be shifted and closed this weekend.

Weather permitting, this will happen Saturday morning, Oct. 18, according to IDOT.

Lane closures on northbound and southbound I-55 will be necessary. Various lanes in both directions of I-55 will be briefly closed from 7 to 11 a.m., according to IDOT.

Motorists can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area. Drivers are urged to pay close attention to flaggers and signs in the work zones, obey the posted speed limits and be on the alert for workers and equipment.
