Kirkland's Opening in Former Gap Location

Kirkland's operates about 300 stores in 30 states, according to the company's website.

A home decor store will open in place of Woodridge's former Gap location.

The village received notice of the Gap store closing in December, according to Jack Knight, management analyst for the village.  

On Tuesday, a sign advertising Kirkland's was hiring hung from the storefront, located at 1001 75th St.

Kirkland's Home Decor, Gifts and More is "a leading specialty retailer of home décor," according to the company's website. The company operates 300 stores in 30 states. 

Kirkland's sells furniture, mirrors, frames, clocks, lamps, outdoor furniture, rugs, pillows holiday merchandise. Other locations include Naperville, Geneva, Orland Park and Hoffman Estates.

No date has been announced for the opening of the Woodridge Kirkland's location.
