Woodridge Park District Approves 2012 Tax Levy
Taxes toward the park district increased slightly to cover inflationary increases and financial commitments, officials said.
Woodridge residents can expect to pay approximately $10 more in tax bills towards the Woodridge Park District next fiscal year with the board approving the 2012 Tax Levy Ordinance on Tuesday night.
The total amount of property taxes requested in the 2012 Tax Levy Ordinance is $6,216,538—a 4.389 percent increase from last year’s levy of $5,917,028.
Officials say the money is necessary to fund inflationary increases, as well as financial commitments such as: the land acquisition purchase of the School District #99 property, capital projects in accordance with federally mandated American with Disabilities Act compliance, state mandated contributions, and planned capital replacement and capital development programs.
