• Illinois Wesleyan's Smyth and DeMaio, Wheaton's Kortenhoeven Named CCIW Football Student-Athletes of the Week (cciw.org) — Woodridge football fans have a hometown reason to cheer, as Illinois Wesleyan linebacker Joey DeMaio of Woodridge earned CCIW Defensive Student-Athlete of the Week after a standout game featuring 11 tackles, two sacks, and a key interception. The conference also honored Illinois Wesleyan quarterback Dermot Smyth and Wheaton returner Seth Kortenhoeven, with upcoming CCIW games streaming free on the CCIW Network.
