Westmont Man Charged With Choking Family Member

WESTMONT, IL --- Westmont police arrested a 60-year-old man Tuesday morning after he allegedly choked a family member in his house. The incident took place around 9"45 a.m. in the first block of Quincy Street.

Police say they were called to the scene after a report of a domestic disturbance. After an investigation, police took Alan Sauter, 60, who lives in the home, into custody.

Sauter was arrested on charges of domestic battery and interfering with the reporting of a domestic battery and taken to DuPage County Jail.
