• Convicted Yorkville Sex Offender Fails To Register Address, Car: Police (patch.com) — Yorkville residents are being alerted that a 49-year-old convicted sex offender was arrested after police say he failed to register his local address, vehicle and phone as required. Yorkville officers, acting on a tip from Illinois State Police, located him on McHugh Road, charged him with three counts of unlawful failure to register, and he was later released on pre-trial conditions.

• Lake Michigan water transmission line project to close section of Roth Road in Oswego (shawlocal.com) — Yorkville residents are part of a nearly $400 million Lake Michigan water project that will eventually replace the town's stressed deep sandstone aquifer, ensuring a more reliable but costlier water supply. Construction now closing a section of Roth Road in Oswego for about two weeks is one visible phase of the 30‑mile WaterLink pipeline that will serve Yorkville, Oswego, and Montgomery.

• Lincoln-Way Central volleyball sweeps past Romeoville: The Herald-News Monday Roundup (shawlocal.com) — Yorkville boys golf posted a strong 156–177 win over Plainfield Central at Blackberry Oaks, led by a 42 from the Wildcats' Anthony Battaglia. The wider roundup also highlights other area high school results in volleyball, soccer, flag football, and golf that Yorkville fans may find interesting.
