• Yorkville District 115 warns of online scammers posing as the district to steal sensitive personal information (shawlocal.com) — Yorkville School District 115 is warning families and residents about phishing emails that pretend to be from the district to steal passwords and other sensitive information. Officials stress they will never request passwords by email and urge people to verify senders, avoid suspicious links or attachments, and review state-recommended tips for staying safe online.
   

• Plano still fighting after 0-3 start, Yorkville leans on front seven: Kendall County football notebook (shawlocal.com) — Yorkville football's strong defensive front has helped the Foxes open 2-1 in the Southwest Prairie West, with linebackers and linemen leading the way. • Renee J. Forber – Services 9/12/26 (wrmj.com) — Yorkville readers may recognize local resident Kim Pack, who is listed among the surviving family of her sister, Renee J. Forber, formerly of Houston and Aledo. Services for Renee, an 85-year-old retired respiratory therapist and active Aledo church member, will be held September 12 at Fippinger Funeral Home in Aledo, with memorials suggested to Aledo United Methodist Church.
