The team now turns quickly to another key matchup, facing conference rival Lake Central at 5 p.m. Thursday, giving local supporters another chance to see if this winning streak continues. 
• University of Chicago Medicine to expand in Northwest Indiana with 43,500-square-foot medical care facility in Valparaiso (newswise.com) — Crown Point residents who already use UChicago Medicine's local multispecialty center will soon see more regional options as the system builds a major new facility in Valparaiso. The project, alongside recent expansion at UChicago Medicine Crown Point, is meant to bring more primary care, imaging, and specialty services closer to Northwest Indiana patients while keeping ties to Chicago's academic medical center.
• Illinois man charged in July fatal wreck in Hebron (chicagotribune.com) — A July single-vehicle crash near Hebron that killed a passenger who later died at Franciscan Health Crown Point has led to multiple felony drunken-driving charges against the Illinois driver. Investigators say his blood alcohol level tested at more than three times Indiana's legal limit, and phone records indicate he sought a ride instead of calling 911 after the wreck.
