Local Habitat for Humanity affiliates join initiative to build 126 homes with $4.1M in READI 2.0 funding (abc57.com) — Elkhart residents could see 36 new Habitat for Humanity homes, including 22 on the city's north side off C.R. 15 and 14 in the Homer Avenue neighborhood. Backed by $4.1 million in READI 2.0 funds through the South Bend-Elkhart Regional Partnership, the tri-county initiative aims to expand affordable workforce homeownership across Elkhart, St. Joseph, and Marshall counties in phases.
