Frog Follies brings crowds & hungry customers to Vanderburgh Co. restaurants (14news.com) — Frog Follies is packing the Vanderburgh County Fairgrounds this weekend, and nearby Evansville-area restaurants like the Hornet's Nest and Pizza Depot are feeling the rush from visiting car enthusiasts. Owners say business jumps most after the gates close at 4 p.m., with one proudly claiming they serve the best specialty burgers in Evansville to hungry hot rod fans.
5. 'Cats Roar Back, Down Evansville, 2-1 (nusports.com) — Northwestern's men's soccer team edged the University of Evansville 2-1 Friday night at Arad McCutchan Stadium, despite the Purple Aces striking first on a penalty kick. A late Wildcats goal in the 82nd minute spoiled Evansville's home effort, capping an intense match where Aces goalkeeper Hugo Amo made several key saves.
