Fishers Junior High Student Arrested for Having Imitation Firearm (wibc.com) — A Fishers Junior High student was arrested after a school resource officer found an imitation firearm in his backpack, which is now illegal to possess on school property under a new Indiana law. The 13-year-old faces a Class B misdemeanor, and additional discipline will come from the school, while Fishers Police and HSE Schools stress their joint focus on student safety.

Fishers board approves $345,000 change order for 116th and Allisonville project (larryinfishers.com) — Construction at 116th Street and Allisonville Road is now expected to finish by late October, and Fishers' Board of Public Works just approved a $345,000 change order to repair worn business driveways along the corridor.
