Laughter, Smiles and Bird Feeders: Intergenerational Event at Heritage Pointe of Warren

It’s a simple and heartwarming way to spread joy. Add the intergenerational component of small children engaging with older adults to the process, and it’s magical.

Last week, the residents in healthcare at Heritage Pointe of Warren were visited by children of the daycare center onsite at the senior living community. Celebrating Feeding the Birds Day, the children and seniors created colorful bird feeders using Fruit Loops and Cheerios, cheerfully strung on pipe cleaners. They played games and greatly enjoyed each other’s company.

There was a lot of laughter and many smiles, creating a perfect morning. It was also a reminder about how the smallest acts of caring can make a difference.
