Leaders say the board shakeup coincides with rising enrollment, stronger test scores, a higher graduation rate, and expanded dual-credit and certification options for local students.

Gary Police say they hope the resolution offers some accountability and closure as details from witnesses, shell casings, and video helped investigators identify the shooter.

Gary, Indiana, Is America's Latest Climate Victim (portside.org) — Residents across Gary are still recovering from a devastating August storm that left many without power for nearly two weeks, spoiling food, disrupting medical care, and straining already tight budgets.
