April 9 Is Last Day To Register To Vote For Indiana May 8 Primary

ACROSS INDIANA -- A reminder to those planning on voting during Indiana's 2018 primary on May 8 that Monday, April 9 is your last chance to register to do so. The Indiana Voters website spells out the different ways you can register, including on the website or in person at your county clerk's office. You can also do so at your BMV license branch if you need to get a driver's license or other card. To register online, make sure you have a valid Indiana driver's license or state-issued identification card available.

You can also head to indianavoters.com to simply check your voting status or find your nearest voting location (polling place).

According to the website, you must meet the following requirements in order to be eligible to vote in Indiana:

  • You are both a U.S. citizen and a resident of Indiana
  • You will be at least 18 years of age on or before the election
  • You are not currently in prison after being convicted of a crime
  • You have lived in the precinct where you vote for at least 30 days prior to the election
