IMPD Investigates Homicide On City's East Side
IMPD said homicide detectives are investigating after a man was found dead inside a vehicle on the city's east side.

INDIANAPOLIS – Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officials are investigating a man found dead from an apparent shooting Tuesday in the 2100 block of Shoreland Drive. Police say officers with the IMPD East District were called to the area just after noon on reports of a person possible shot. IMPD says upon arrival officers located a man with an apparent gunshot wound in a vehicle, and IEMS pronounced him dead on scene.
Homicide detectives responded to the scene and spoke to witnesses in the area.
IMPD says the Indianapolis – Marion County Forensic Services Agency was also on scene to help with collecting potential evidence, and the Marion County Coroner’s Office (MCCO) will determine the exact manner and cause of death.
