Indiana Government Center Hosting Hurricane Blood Drive

Indiana Lt. Governor Suzanne Crouch, Indiana Blood Center encourage eligible blood donors to give blood for hurricane victims.

INDIANAPOLIS, IN — Indiana Lt. Governor Suzanne Crouch is encouraging all eligible Hoosiers to sign up and donate blood with Indiana Blood Center, and attend an upcoming blood drive at Indiana Government Center on Sept. 13. In a release, Crouch said community members provided 600 units of blood from IBC to patients in Texas impacted by Hurricane Harvey. Crouch added the IBC blood supply will remain strained as Hurricane Irma's expected impact.

The release from Lt. Crouch can be seen on IBC's Facebook page, as well as a link for those wanting to schedule a donation time.

IBC has also partnered with the Indiana Pacers in encouraging eligible donors to give blood for those impacted by the recent hurricanes.
