Volunteer Opportunity: Best Buddies Friendship Walk Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS, IN — The Best Buddies Friendship Walk Indianapolis will take place April 28, 2019 at Celebration Plaza at White River State Park, and although it's more than six months away, planning will begin in October. This friendship walk is the number one walk for raising funds and awareness to support the inclusion of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout Indiana, according to Best Buddies Indiana, and this group encourages anyone interested in being part of the planning committee to attend the first monthly planning meeting at 6 p.m. Oct. 15.

"This Best Buddies Indiana event draws 2,500 people to White River State Park for this amazing celebration of friendship," Marcia Clutter, Deputy Director of Development for Best Buddies Indiana, said.

During the first meeting for the 2019 Best Buddies Friendship Walk Indianapolis, the planning committee will introduce all of the committee roles and subcommittees, according to Clutter.

"Please join us if you are interested in taking an active and rewarding role in creating this experience for our community," Clutter said.
