• CWD confirmed in three Indiana Counties; DNR expands surveillance zones (wbiw.com) — LaGrange County remains central to Indiana’s Chronic Wasting Disease response, as the state’s first-ever case was found there and the county now sits inside an expanded surveillance zone for infected deer. Hunters in LaGrange and neighboring counties are urged to use free testing sites, avoid eating CWD-positive venison, and follow strict carcass disposal guidelines to slow the disease’s spread.
