• Lawrence Utilities Sewer Cleaning Notice (cityoflawrence.org) — Residents in Lawrence's Glick, Roses, and Peach Tree Cove neighborhoods should prepare for three weeks of daytime sanitary sewer cleaning starting Thursday, Sept. 17. Crews will use high-pressure equipment that may cause toilet splashing or drain odors, and there could be open manholes and traffic restrictions, so keep kids clear of work zones and call Lawrence Utilities with any concerns.
   

• Lawrence woman charged after allegedly assaulting 2 children, 2 women (wthr.com) — A 37-year-old Lawrence woman faces charges after police say she forced her way into her ex-boyfriend's Indianapolis apartment, assaulted two women, and allegedly mishandled two young children before returning to her home in Lawrence. Lawrence police and DCS later arrested her there and found two additional children, all of whom were taken for medical evaluation as the case moves toward an initial hearing.
