University shifts to full ban of e-bikes on campus (ndsmcobserver.com) — If you rely on an e-bike around Notre Dame, be ready for a big change: starting July 1, 2026, e-bikes will be banned from campus itself and allowed only at five designated perimeter racks. The University says the stricter policy aims to reduce fire and collision risks while preserving the pedestrian feel of campus. 
2. Mishawaka fire 5 miles from Notre Dame causes smoke scent on campus (ndsmcobserver.com) — A warehouse fire in Mishawaka sent a strong smell of smoke across the Notre Dame campus Tuesday evening, prompting a campus-wide safety email explaining the source. Officials say the smoke is not believed to be hazardous, and the University is sharing any updates through its social media channels while the status of the fire remains unconfirmed.
3. Like father, like son: Fitzgerald impressive at spring practice (wsbt.com) — Notre Dame football fans can watch freshman receiver Devin Fitzgerald, son of NFL legend Larry Fitzgerald Jr., cap an impressive spring in this Saturday’s Blue-Gold game. Spring practice is wrapping up on campus, and coaches say Fitzgerald’s playmaking has earned him more chances against tougher competition.

American Constitution Society selects ND Law's Erin Hiestand as a 2026 Next Generation Leader University of Notre Dame (nd.edu) — A Notre Dame Law School third-year student, Erin Hiestand, has been named a 2026 Next Generation Leader by the American Constitution Society, highlighting national recognition for work rooted on the Notre Dame campus. As president of the law school’s ACS chapter, she’s amplified progressive student voices, organized well-attended events and plans a public-service-oriented legal career after graduation.
