• Elkhart city council passes data center, battery storage pause 9-0 (wvpe.org) — Elkhart's city council has unanimously paused new hyperscale data centers and battery storage projects for at least six months while it writes rules on power, water, and air impacts. In neighboring St. Joseph County, South Bend Regional Chamber president Jeff Rea worries such moratoriums could cost the area a share of over a trillion dollars in expected data center investment.
