• Potawatomi Zoo in South Bend holds naming contest for red panda cub (southbendtribune.com) — South Bend families can help choose a permanent name for Potawatomi Zoo's surviving red panda cub by donating at least $5 online through Sept. 17, with three playful options on the ballot. The winning name, announced Sept. 19, will also support international red panda conservation and enter donors into a drawing for zoo passes and a plush toy.

Here's how (southbendtribune.com) — South Bend readers saw Adams High dominate Mishawaka Marian 41-0 in Friday's Northern Indiana Conference opener at Everwise Field, powered by a huge rushing night from Carson Bryce and a smothering defense. The win snaps an eight-game losing streak to Marian and sets up Adams' next home matchup against New Prairie while Marian prepares to host rival South Bend Saint Joseph.

- Hi, I was visiting South Bend and lost my Toyota Highlander key fob on Sunday August 30th, most likely at the corner of Longfellow Avenue and Mishawaka Avenue.
