• WATCH: Video shows car crashing into South Bend store minutes before nearby shooting (wndu.com) — A South Bend convenience store on Miami Street was hit by a car Sunday night, just minutes before a nearby shooting at Indiana and High streets left three people injured. Police say the victims are expected to survive and are still investigating whether the crash and shooting are connected, as neighbors reported hearing dozens of gunshots. 
• Upper Room Recovery hosts International Awareness Day event (wsbt.com) — In South Bend, the Upper Room Recovery Community marked International Overdose Awareness Day by honoring lives lost to addiction and highlighting that long-term recovery is possible. Organizers shared personal success stories, encouraged people currently struggling, and invited residents to volunteer or learn more through the group's website.
• Boy, 7, hospitalized after going missing in the water at Silver Beach County Park (wwmt.com) — A 7-year-old boy from South Bend was pulled from Lake Michigan at Silver Beach County Park after being missing in the water for more than an hour and was rushed to a local hospital, though his condition is unknown. Berrien County deputies and the U.S. Coast Guard located him near shore Monday night and immediately began CPR and other life-saving efforts.
