The gala supports local theater programming and preservation through tickets, auctions, and sponsorships, and includes Jazz Age-inspired fashion, desserts, a silent auction, and a live preview of the 2027 Mainstage season.

2. Multiple Projects to Impact S.R. 2 between Valparaiso and Westville (indiana105.com) ā Drivers on State Road 2 between Valparaiso and Westville face major disruptions this month, including a full closure near Old State Road 2 starting August 17. Additional lane reductions with temporary signals will affect two bridge projects through early September and late October, so plan extra time and consider alternate routes if you commute in or out of Valparaiso.

Work Underway To Revive Indiana Ski Area (unofficialnetworks.com) ā Work is underway to bring the old Pines Peak ski area in Valparaiso back to life, with plans to start with snow tubing and potentially restore skiing and snowboarding later. If successful, it would become Indianaās third active ski area, adding a new winter recreation spot within easy reach for local residents.
