Third Annual Iowa Dairy Industry Doubleheader is Oct. 30–31 (morningagclips.com) — Iowa State University in Ames will host the third annual Iowa Dairy Industry Doubleheader on Oct. 30–31, offering veterinarians and dairy professionals hands-on parasite training and networking. Friday's session at the Veterinary Diagnostic Lab includes continuing education and lab work, while Saturday's tailgate and reunion invite students, alumni and farmers to connect before the Cyclones game.

Ames dog named Bo is adopted mommy to a litter of orphaned kitties (amestrib.com) — Just northwest of Ames, an Airedale terrier named Boudica—"Bo"—at Terrier Tough Farm has stepped in to nurse and raise a litter of orphaned kittens as her own.
