Iowa Finance Authority Awards More Than $6.4 Million to Expand Housing and Support Services for Iowans Experiencing or at Risk of Homelessness (rcreader.com) — More than $4.4 million in federal HOME-ARP funds is headed to Des Moines to convert a former hotel at East 14th and Euclid into 32 affordable homes for women overcoming homelessness, addiction, or incarceration. The Iowa Finance Authority's award supports housing development, services, and nonprofit operations, while a separate Dubuque project shares the remaining funds. This investment aims to expand stable housing and support for vulnerable neighbors.

Des Moines asks for public input on Greenwood Park improvements (kcci.com) — Des Moines residents are being asked to help shape the future of Greenwood Park, one of the city's oldest green spaces, by sharing ideas for new features and uses.
