• Okoboji Writers' and Songwriters' Retreat happening this week (kcau9.com) — A three-day Okoboji Writers' and Songwriters' Retreat is underway this week, drawing 350 participants to the Iowa Lakeside Lab on West Lake after quickly selling out. Locals can expect a packed schedule of 160 seminars led by more than 60 industry professionals, covering everything from investigative journalism and poetry to songwriting and memoir, all designed to welcome every experience level.
