📰 News we're reading

• Iowa's first Buc-ee's proposal hits a setback (newsbreak.com) — Urbandale's City Council has rejected a key land-use change needed for a proposed Buc-ee's travel center near the I-35/80 interchange, halting the project in its current form. The decision keeps the site designated for mixed use, amid concerns about traffic and fit with surrounding development, though Buc-ee's could still revise plans or seek another location in Iowa.
