• U.S. 83 construction project to temporarily close county roads south of Garden City (westernkansasnews.com) — Drivers in and around Garden City should prepare for rolling county road closures along U.S. 83 south of town starting Monday, Oct. 5, as part of a $44.5 million realignment project. KDOT will close one county road at a time between the Haskell/Finney County line and the Arkansas River bridge through 2027, urging motorists to plan alternate routes and watch for ongoing updates.
